The most important part of pre writing skills in preschool is learning how to draw lines (Fun fact: There are 80 stages of pre writing before children are ready to write!)
Mrs. Casey's class started the week by reading Lines That Wiggle. They then used noodles to make various lines, made lines with Play-Doh and had fun writing in shaving cream. They also put loose ends on various lines, and used bingo markers to dab them. The preschoolers ended their week last week writing lines in our fine motor journals.
