Our preschoolers became architects and engineers with our stem activity. Using only spaghetti noodles and tape they built mega skyscrapers. We learned a triangle is the strongest shape and taping more noodles together helped build a stronger foundation. Thank you Mrs. Junkins!

Students from Mrs. John's 5th Grade Guided Reading Class were chosen to present their project at the OSBA Capital Conference Student Achievement Fair. After reading the book, Blood on the River, students created their replication and interpretation of the Werowocomoco Indian Village of 1607. The village was located about 50 miles from the original Jamestown Settlement. As part of their presentation the students addressed and interacted with school board members, administrators, teachers and other invited guests from around the state - explaining what they learned from their reading and research. Throughout the day, our students received numerous compliments on their knowledge and professionalism. Thank you for representing Waynesfield so well!
