Miss Brinkman's 7th and 8th graders have been working on monochromatic paintings. The students used one color and then white or black to lighten or darken their image. Great job to all !

In Miss Presar's technology class, 5th graders are learning about different careers in STEM fields. Over the last two weeks both classes have designed, created, & tested their own Halloween catapults. Teams competed to see which catapult could launch candy pumpkins the farthest.

Mrs. Zechman’s class has been studying magnets. They have played with magnets and they used their magnets to find objects that are magnetic in their discovery bottles!

Students from Mr. Roberts' Leadership class have started coming to the Kindergarten rooms to read a story on Friday's! One story they gathered in Miss Crates' room to listen to was “How Big Could Your Pumpkin Grow?”

Mr. Crites & Mrs. Downey's 4th & 5th Grade classes attended the Young People's Concert performed by the Lima Symphony Orchestra. Guest violinist, Charles Yang, & LSO Music Director, Andrew Crust, introduced the students to the instruments of the orchestra & the versatility of the violin.

Reminder : Tomorrow, October 17th is picture retake day. Please do not wear green if you plan on getting your picture retaken tomorrow.

The third graders went to Marmon Valley today and learned about pioneer cooking, dipped candles and made candleholders with pioneer tools. They enjoyed their day finished the it by playing in the hay maze, petting the animals and playing gaga ball!

Last week Mrs. Casey's class discussed the steps of making a scarecrow, and what things were needed to make a scarecrow. They participated in making a scarecrow as a class. The scarecrow was entered into the scarecrow contest at Legacy Park in Cridersville.

Mrs. McKinney's preschool students conducted a leaf investigation to kick off the season of fall !

Agh Dinosaurs! What fun Mrs. McKinney's class had at becoming archaeologist! While using glow in the dark glue and playdough, the preschoolers made dinosaur fossils and excavated them. They also participated in a dinosaur dig!

The students in Mr. Downey's Introduction into Athletic Training class are now CPR and AED certified along with being certified in First Aid. A special thank you to Fire Chief Presnell and Police Chief Motter, who took time to stop by class and talk about emergency preparedness.

Picture re-take day will be Tuesday, October 17th. Remember, if you are participating in picture re-takes, please DO NOT wear green. If you have any questions, please contact either of the offices.
Last Thursday, Mrs. Casey's class had their Teddy Bear "T" party to end letter T week. They made tiaras, counted out 10 teddy grahams, made the letter Tt with Teddy Grahams, and had "tea". They ended their party with a teddy bear dance party!

This Friday is our pink-out game against Perry in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. T-shirts will be sold during both middle school and high school lunches next week. Size small through 2XL and a limited number of YL will be available for purchase at a cost of $15 in support of the JD Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation and WG Cheer. Bracelets will also be available for purchase at a cost of $2. Cash only for purchases. All leftover shirts and bracelets will be available for purchase at the game on Friday. Let's show our support for the Tigers and the fight to end breast cancer by flooding the stadium with pink on October 6th!


Mrs. Wildermuth's students celebrated Apple Week last week with some caramel apple donuts and apple cider for their snack !
