Mrs. Casey's class learned all about shadows and Groundhogs Day. They did a lot of shadow exploration, including a shadow show and tell and shadow tracing. They also made Shadow art and made predictions on if the Groundhog will see his shadow after learning about Groundhogs!
Mrs. Howard's classes read Bobbie's Great Adventure. The story is about a dog who traveled more than 2500 miles to return to his home. Students created stories about other animals who travel or migrate a long distance from home. They then turned these stories into video games to share with their classmates.
Mrs. Searson's 6th graders are building a dog sled to race during their Iditarod Writing Unit. Parameters for the build include essential parts (runners, cargo bed, etc.) and will attach to a Sphero robot (dog sled team). We are excited to see who crosses the finish line first!
Students in Mr. Wireman's class are going to begin work on their Invention Fair Projects next week. They took a walk through the school Makerspace to begin looking at inventions at school, what problems they solve, and how the school might look different without them.
Mrs. Zechman’s 2nd grade class practiced their letter writing by writing letters to the High School Girls Basketball Team! The Lady Tigers then sent letters back to them!
It was reported there is a scam call happening in the area where the caller says they are asking for donations on behalf of the school. W-G staff will not ask for any banking information for the purpose of donations. Please share the information to help everyone avoid the scam.
Today, we celebrated our 100th day of school here at Waynesfield-Goshen !
Miss. Nolan's Writing class presented the posters they created for a Holocaust survivor last week. On each poster is a QR code that can be scanned by other WG students & staff to learn more about them! Each code takes you to a full profile of the survivor written by each student.

The "Mamma Mia" musical cast has been busy learning some new dance moves! A special thanks to WG alum, Abby Phipps, for choreographing the dances for us this year. You can see "Mamma Mia" at WG on March 15th-17th!

Some things are bigger than sports! W-G stands with Connor Sons, a student from Cory-Rawson, in his fight and battle against Craniopharyngioma. His fight is our fight! W-G will continue to keep you and your family, as well as all of C-R in our thoughts and prayers!
