Mrs. Barrington's sixth grade science classes learned how to use microscopes as they begin their unit on cells.


The WGHS Chamber Choir will once again be a part of the WTLW TV44 Holiday Music Festival. Check them out on tv or on the Roku app.

K-2 kids made their way around everyone’s rooms. They all had different crafts or activities to do in each room !! It was such a fun day !!! Bingo, Pictionary, Dance Parties, snacks and even reindeer food!!!

Mrs. Brinkman was able to display her Kindergarten - 5th grade art work last night at the Elementary Concert. Great job students!






Mrs. Casey's class was welcomed by a winter wonderland for Polar Express Day! They received a special package straight from the North Pole with an icy cold bell from Santa and popcorn for a movie! They also boarded and took a ride on the Polar Express!

4th Grade STEM Enrichment students used Light o Rama hardware and software to hook up lights, program sequences, and create their own synchronized Christmas Light Show! When at the school - peek your head in the MakerDen and check it out!

Preschool students continued in their study of "How Things are Built" with Mrs. Junkins. We learned about the main parts of the structural system of a rocket. The frame has a nose cone, a body, and fins. We also learned rockets are made of strong and lightweight materials. After building our rockets we launched them in the school cafeteria and WOW - some of them really flew!

The teachers at WG have been busy decking the halls with all of their students' hard work. It is really looking festive!

Mrs. Casey's class has been hard at work in the writing and art center. They have been making crafts, writing letters to Santa, practicing writing our December word wall words and using magazines to make their Christmas wish lists. They are using the classroom Santa mailbox to send it to the North Pole!

Miss Seipel's mom made fun hats for all of the first graders to wear at recess during the cold winter months! Her class was excited to receive these homemade winter hats. Thank you so much! The kids love them!

2023-2024 WG FFA Officers are pictured in front of the WG State & American FFA Degree recipient banners posted outside the Ag Room.
They also attended the State FFA Leadership Night with Ohio FFA Officers held at Anna High School earlier this week.

Tomorrow is the High School Boys first home basketball game along with the Little Dribbler's performing! The freshman class is holding a fundraiser at the game. W-G Community, help us pack the gym for the first home opener against USV and support the Freshman Class! GO TIGERS!!
Yesterday, our Otis Spunkmeyer Fundraiser's top sellers were able to enjoy a limo ride to McDonald's and some lunch. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Elementary fundraiser and congratulations to these students for being the top sellers! Great work kids!

Mrs. Zechman's class had some guest readers from the high school to read them some pirate Christmas stories! Gracy, Kendra, and Autumn took some time out of their study skills to read to our 2nd graders!

Mrs. Casey's class had Grinch Day yesterday. They made hats, talked about ways they could make the Grinch's heart grow, did a Grinch experiment, played pin the heart on the Grinch and had Grinch juice! They even had a visit from the Grinch himself!

Students in English 10 finished up their Edgar Allan Poe Unit with their very own Movie Posters. Students had to pick any story and create their incredible movie about the story. They created posters on Canva and then printed them in the MakerDen. Great job!
